Syeeta Gates Inspires Next Generation of Change Makers Through Millennial Social Entrepreneurship!

Final_Covers1I love to do stories on Change-Makers, even though this notion may be all in my head, I think they make the world go-round. I truly believe that people who work to inspire others and give back are the change that we need to see. Meet today’s Change-Maker, 24 year old Syeeta Gates, a  Glamour Magazine “Top 20 Under 25”  and author of  Just BE Cause: Ah Ha Moments to Inspire the Next Generation of Change Makers .

BCG: Tell us more about “Just BE Cause…” ? How did it get started? What inspired you to write the book?
Syeeta Gates:  Ah Ha Moments to Inspire the Next Generation of Change Makers got started because its exactly what I needed when I created my first social venture The SWT Life (which helps young people find their superpower) at 17 years old. There wasn’t anyone in the land of social entrepreneurship that I identified with and that I felt like spoke to me. So after talking to some friends in her Brooklyn apartment I decided to like Ghandi be the change I wish to see in the world.

Syreeta by QuazimottoOnWax-12BCG: So what can we expect the book to be about?
Gates: Just BE Cause features 33, myself included, amazing contributors ages 16-60 from every social, economic and ethnic background which hasn’t been done in the land of social entrepreneurship as of yet. To have a collection of stories from millenials and some really cool adults that could be looked at like the Chicken Soup for social change is fascinating.

BCG: What is the target age group and demographic that the”Just BE Cause….. ” supports?
Gates: The goal is to inspire Millenials that want to change the world.

BCG: How has the book helped you with your goals? What’s next on your plate?
Gates: It’S helped personally, now that the book is out I literally feel like I can accomplish anything in the world. What’s next is paying homage to hip-hop journalist through media.

BCG:How can others get involved with your cause within their local communities?
Gates: Please support through buying the book either print or eBook at www.justbecausebook.com and or invite us to come to your high school or college via hello@justbecausebook.com

BCG: What final words of wisdom would you’d like to share with our readers?
Gates: Find your passion regardless of your age and do just that.  Figure out your WHY! #justBEcause!
