Giving Is Good! Don’t you just love the holidays?! I wish giving were like this all year long, but I’ll take it! Chris Paul, Kevin Hart and Clipper teammate Ekpe Udoh teamed up yesterday to give back, but also teach children an important lesson in giving and receiving. They brought screams of joy and the holiday spirit to a Toys “R” Us in Southern California. The Chris Paul Foundation event gave $100 gift cards for a shopping spree to 100 Los Angeles children, many of whom are part of LA’s BEST an after school education, enrichment and recreation program for elementary school children ages 5 to 12 in the City of LA.
At the event Paul asked children what Christmas was all about.
One boy yelled: “Presents!”
And Paul replied: “No!
“We’re here because Christmas is about more than just receiving gifts; It’s about giving back and helping others.” As part of the gift card giveaway there was just one rule, the kids had to also buy something for someone other than just themselves. Both Paul and Hart also brought along their children for the event; We love it! Way to give back guys, giving is good!
