How to Help Victims of Hurricane Harvey
Over the weekend our newsfeed were flooded with horrifying images of those affected by Hurricane Harvey, the worst storm in over 10 years to hit Texas. From images of young children trapped on top of their kitchen counters to nursing homes with seniors flooded to their torso to images of destruction, we've all wrapped our arms around Texas in prayer and we want to help. Here's what we know and how you can support.
Beyoncé and Fans Raise Over $80,000 to Support Flint Thru BeyGOOD!
Today Parkwood Entertainment, the entertainment and management company founded by Beyoncé, presented United Way of Genesee County with a generous donation of $82,234. to support residents of Flint, as they continue to feel the impacts of the water crisis. Ivy McGregor, director of philanthropy and corporate relations, presented the check at an event at a high school in Detroit, where United Way for Southeastern Michigan is supporting an innovative high school turnaround initiative.
