Akon Launches #MAKETHEFUTURE Initiative to Help 1 Billion People Without Electricity!
Did you know that over 1 billion people worldwide are without access to electricity. Solar entrepreneur Akon collaborated Grammy-nominated DJ Hardwerk and Shell in launching the #MakeTheFuture initiative, which focuses on innovative ideas that provide alternative energy solutions for areas of the world that are without. The theme song, “Tell Me We’re OK”, is a dance-reggae-pop-infused, and appropriately, powerful anthem.
The music video is centered around Africa’s first human and solar powered soccer field. Check it out below:
