Best Non-Profit PR and Event Planning Firm Award

Take a glimpse at how these PR Pros are helping to empower others to give back!

Branded PR
Branded PR to me is the go to firm here in Atlanta for anything positive. I have personally witnessed Tahira build her agency and I am so proud of her. She and her partner Chivon are responsible for The Ludacris Foundation, Keshia Knight Pulliam, Kamp Kizzy and B.O.B’s new non-profit to name a few. They also work with the 411 which is a show of positive information for our youth. Most people in the pR industry do it for the parties and fame, but they do it for the clients and the people. At charity vents you can find them getting involved and volunteering themselves which is commendable. I know they will continue to do amazing things here in the A and I hope they win this award because it will only empower them to help more people.

Simone Smalls PR
Simone is so thorough. I have know Simone for years as I own a very prominent hip hop website, though out the years I have witnessed Simone take on client after client and she seems to always work with them on some positive project. I can tell you from a hip hop standpoint and a media standpoint we get a lot of fluff, but what she does is real. Her firm worked with Black Girls Rock for the past two years and have done an amazing job, taking something positive to the masses. I don’t think Simone gets the credit she deserves, she’s so humble and kind and she should be honored for her years of hard work.

Commun PR
Commun Public Relations is a leader in nonprofit communications. The name “Commun” is derived from two things that are very important to the company = Community and Communications. Founded in 2006 by Patrice Cameau, Commun PR is known for providing stellar PR and event planning strategy to a host of nonprofit and community related clients. In addition to planning and executing community-based programming for clients like international recording artist, Wale (http://bit.ly/dgAkP6, http://bit.ly/s3HyIc), the Maryland Institute for Dance (http://bit.ly/k3lrzs) and the 2011 “Best Community Leader” Steve Harvey Hoodie Award winner, Tony Lewis Jr. (www.thetonylewisjr.com), Commun PR is also a co-founder of The Hope 101 Project, a series of one-day public service events created to promote volunteerism, community service, mentoring and career development in amongst professionals and inner-city youth. In 2009, Commun PR created “The NEW You Project”, a bi-annual event that gives female shelter residents a day of pampering via free hairstyling, manicures and make-up. Cameau is passionate is dedicated to using strategic PR to help nonprofit organizations reach their awareness and monetary goals.

Terrie Williams Agency
I am writing to nominate Ms. Terrie Williams as Best Non-Profit Firm in the BCG Awards! I have been a long time admirer of Ms.Williams and I know for a fact this is a woman who uses her connections throughout the PR industry for the good of causes. When I first read her book the personal touch it inspired me beyond measure in how I deal with my clients on a daily basis. As a black woman, Terrie has also tackled depression in black women and other issues that we often don’t talk about. Her foundation Stay String is doing amazing things for youth and adults alike. She is a true veteran in the game, someone I as a young PR pro look up to and I believe she is the best candidate for this award.

Egami Consulting
I first became introduced to Egami Consulting while working with P&G years ago. She has been instrumental in linking brands with urban influencers and initiating campaigns. In the past two elections, her firm has headed up several campaigns designed to get people , mainly youth to vote. Using hip hop, celebrities and more she has left her handprint on several campaigns that truly have shaped the way we live today. I have watched the woman ran agency grow by leaps and bounds and I am honored to nominate this agency for the Best PR Firm BCG Award.
