Meet today’s charity spotlight Children’s Pride, Inc. founded by Monique B. Evans, the Atlanta based organization was founded to empower youth, while promoting cultural diversity, mentorship and encouraging volunteerism in the community. The organization advances this mission by enriching the lives of children, single parents, needy families and the homeless by providing clothing items, personal care & baby products, food and school supplies. Throughout the year the organization encourage the youth to showcase their talent as well as donating their time in the community.  The foundation’s goal is to reach one child at a time.

Children’s Pride hosts an “Annual Mother & Son” Charitable Dance, a Feed The Hungry and Homeless Food Donation Program, Prom Dress Give-A-Way, “Back 2 School” Bookbags, School Supplies and “Back 2 School Riverboat” ride event for youth in the community just to name a few programs. The organization also partners hosts an Atlanta Diaper Relief Donation to families in need of diapers and baby supplies, a Live Christmas Tree donation to Single Mothers in partnership with Lowe’s.
And it’s not just children that get a little social change love from Children’s Pride, t he organization donates trees to local senior centers in the community  to brighten the days of  the elderly,  with a smile during the holiday season.
A Change-Maker in her own right Children’s Pride, Inc.’s founder, Monique Evans, has sponsored numerous youth to attend cultural events at local museums, civic center and has organized other community based activities in an effort to help expose kids to the arts. Each year she hosts her Annual “Mother and Son Dance” and sponsors several Mother’s and their Sons to enjoy a stress free night of food, dancing, gift bags, door prizes, entertainment for quality bonding time between Mother’s and Sons.

Monique says that her philosophy is simple and starts at home by building strong solid relationships and communication between children and teens with a parent, parents, or a mentor. “It cultivates, builds character and self esteem and helps to mode a child into a productive adult, which in turn helps to develop strong communities in which we all live and play,” she says.
