The Collective Advocates

Meet today’s Charity Spotlight  The Collective Advocates for Social Change & Development, Inc.  Based in Brooklyn, NY their mission is to create positive, systemic and sustainable change in communities at-risk for violence and poverty, using creative arts and social entrepreneurship.  As advocates the organization creates social awarenss through speaking engagements in schools, organizations and through grassroots outreach. Their presentations include film & lecture and product showcases. The organization is in preparation to launch their next program Initiative 3.0, a Creative Arts Advocacy and Social Enterprenurial Program, this summer.  The program will provide New York City youth and adults 13 years of age and up, who are at-risk for violence and poverty, with opportunities to use visual and performance art to raise social awareness, provide forums for civic engagement and opportunities for social entrepreneurship.
Currently the Collective Advocates are raising funds online to develop and execute their curriculum. To support them in reaching their goal, please click here.
