Charity Spotlight: Shoes4Schools

Shoes4School.org is a division of KKIS, Keep Kids In School, Inc., a 501c3 non-profit foundation dedicated to promoting literacy and physical fitness through our programs. KKIS, was founded in 1997.

Their mission is to provide shoes, school supplies, back packs and sporting goods to KIN (Kids In Need). This is not just about another pair of shoes. They feel that the footwear will serve 3 main purposes:

  1. Self Esteem
  2. Lower Childhood Disease and Obesity
  3. Improved Academics

Leola Anifowoshe, is the founder and Executive Director of Shoes4School.org. Leola is dedicated to helping Keep Kids In School. She has dedicated most of her life in the non profit sector having been a volunteer since she was 9 years old as a tour guide for the blind – she was afforded the opportunity to travel the Nation as “the eyes” to her grandparents and their Colleagues. Having been raised partially by her two blind grandparents, Leola had the opportunity to witness first hand the commitment necessary to work with the handicapped or those in need.
At Shoes4School.org theyare dedicated to sponsoring and enlisting programs that encourage children to want to go and stay in school. Shoes 4 School embark on programs that encourage learning and make learning fun and exciting which has been proven to keep children motivated to learn.
