Charity Spotlight: The Berrette Family Foundation

The Berrette Family Foundation is an upcoming nonprofit in the DC Area. The focus is on first generation high school students born of immigrant parents and leading them to become distinguished individuals through personal branding.

On Thursday, November 10, 2011, 100 supporters came to Policy Restaurant and Lounge in Washington, DC to celebrate the foundation’s soft launch. The evening was filled with food, good music and chatter about years to come. The organization did well for their first event and raised over $1,500. Supporters were urged to participate in discussions with people they did not know regarding personal branding, answering the questions: What are three adjectives a person would use to describe your personality once you have left the room? What is the current state of President Obama’s brand?
