The Tammi James Foundation is based in the Greater Richmond Area. Their vision is to give every woman, an opportunity to build a long-standing foundation for their self and their family. They provide these women with the necessary skills to lead empowering and ambitious lives.

The Tammi James Foundation is community based and has partnered up to develop an exciting an innovative initiative for disadvantaged women in this economically distressed time. The “Better Foundation for Life” program will provide: Occupational Training/Job Placement/Transportation to and from interviews/Educational services/Counseling and detox services as well as Transitional/Home Placement to all women in the Richmond area that actively seek these services.
This program, which the partners envision, is multi-faceted, comprehensive and innovative. The city of Richmond is in a tremendous need of additional assistance to our underprivileged women. Every day more and more women are combated with various entities. Including: drug and/or spousal abuse, the scarceness of jobs, educational prohibitions and transportation issues due to rising gas prices.
Their target clients include women, in the Richmond and surrounding areas, that have fallen victim to any type of substance and/or spousal abuse, incarceration, or in need of occupational/job/GED training.
With the program Tammi James wishes to diminish all of these adversaries amongst the women of her community.
