Grammy Nominated Artist Helps Cultivate High Self-Esteem and Confidence for Atlanta Women In Need This Holiday Season!

Despite her busy schedule, Grammy nominated R&B artist Torica, always has time for two important aspects regarding women: service and beauty. Currently hard at work in the studio prepping for the release of her album, A Beautiful Mess, Torica will combine the two and help homeless women in Atlanta prep themselves for the holidays and beyond. Through her Beauty and Beyond Drive, the singer will collect beauty products, toiletries, and other necessities to benefit the Atlanta Day Shelter, a shelter for homeless women and children. The drive will begin at the end of November and carry on through the third week of December.

An avid supporter of all causes and charities, Torica felt that there was something missing for women in need. Being a woman and a single mother, she understood the importance of having beauty and hygiene products not just around the holidays, but year round to create a positive self-image.

“These things may seem common, but they can become quite a costly necessity for a woman struggling to provide for her family,” explained the artist about her urge to create her own campaign and give back to her community. “My ‘A Beautiful Mess’ movement (and album) is all about loving and having confidence in yourself as you embrace your flaws. I want women to not only take care of themselves, but love themselves in the process.”

Founded in 1984, The Atlanta Day Shelter is a non-profit organization that serves about 5000 individuals a year.
