Detroit Lion Nick Fairley Hosts “Lion Heart” Football and Cheerleading Camp in Mobile, Alabama!

Nick Fairley Lion Heart Football

It’s one of our favorite times of the year, while the NBA finals are over, Congratulations Spurs, and football is readying for the 2014-2015 season, tons of NBA and NFL players alike take this time to give back, and we love it! Born in Mobile, Alabama, Nick Fairley has quickly emerged as a defensive force in the NFL during his time with the Detroit Lions. Creating his legacy as an All- American and a 2011 First Round Draft Pick, Fairley continues to go full steam ahead with commitment to his Philanthropic efforts by hosting the 2nd annual Lion Heart Charity Weekend in conjunction with Insights Marketing. The weekend of events will take place June 20th – 21st, 2014 and will include a Bowling Tournament, Nick Fairley’s FREE Lion Heart Football & Cheerleading Camp, and Noir: An All-Black Affair.

A native to Alabama, Fairley’s FREE Lion Heart Football & Cheerleading Camp focuses on servicing inner city youth that have a true passion for sports but very limited resources. With over 250 youth expected to attend, the camp will be of no cost to attendees and will cater to local youth participants. Fairley will make another financial donation to his Alma Mater and first time financial support Williamson High School as well as Mobile Parks & Recreation.

Highlights of this year’s camp include: A Football & Conditioning camp led by Nick Fairley, his NFL friends from around the League, a Cheerleading Clinic hosted by the University of South Alabama Cheerleaders and FREE health screenings. “My vision is to see true interaction among the players and youth that they can use on and off the field,” states Nick Fairley (Detroit Lions). Special thanks to this year’s sponsors – The Detroit Lions, Golden Corral, Gulf Distributing Company, Tag Bar & Lounge, Tropical Smoothie, the Monday Nighters Sports Club, Reggie Williams, Mr. & Mrs. Carl Davis, and Mr. & Mrs. Stanley Robinson.
