To highlight National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and honor 50 years of finding cures and saving children, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® released today an inspiring new video set to the iconic song “Hey Jude.” The online video features St. Jude patients, hospital staff, notable actors, musicians and sports stars who have joined forces to “make it better” for children with cancer and other deadly diseases.

Celebrity friends singing along in “Hey St. Jude” include Jennifer Aniston, Betty White, Michael Jordan, Robin Williams, Ellen DeGeneres, Dr. Oz, Jimmy Kimmel, Jon Hamm and Jennifer Westfeldt, Keith Urban, Shaun White, Jordin Sparks, Michael Strahan, Kellie Pickler, Lady Antebellum, Julius ‘Dr. J” Erving, Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, Darius Rucker, John Rich & Big Kenny, Juanes, Elisa Neal, Malin Ackerman, Rick Berry, Mike Conley, Rachael Leigh Cook, David DeLuise, Luis Fonsi, Daisy Fuentes, Billy Gardell, Josie Loren, Randy Owen and Musiq Soulchild.

“Singing an iconic song like Hey Jude with an all-star cast of musicians, athletes, actors, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital patients was an incredible experience,” said St. Jude supporter Jordin Sparks. “I’m so proud to support the hospital’s mission, and hope everyone will check out the music video on heystjude.org!”

The video features many St. Jude patients, nurses, doctors and researchers including a performance from 11-year-old Keshaun. Keshaun, who is receiving treatment for acute myeloid leukemia at St. Jude, hasn’t let cancer treatment put a damper on his life-long love for singing and dancing.

“It is truly wonderful to see how the ‘Hey Jude’ video brings together in such an inspiring way an amazing cast of celebrity friends, patients and faithful supporters of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital,” said Richard C. Shadyac Jr., CEO of ALSAC/St. Jude. “We are grateful to everyone who joined us in this creative endeavor as we continue to mobilize the world in the fight against cancer and other catastrophic diseases that threaten so many precious children. I urge all video viewers to learn more about our mission by visiting heystjude.org where they will also have the opportunity to receive a limited-edition T-shirt featured in the video.”

The public’s support makes it possible for the hospital to offer exceptional care and research breakthroughs to patients while ensuring that their families never pay St. Jude for anything. Proceeds generated by “Hey St. Jude” will help St. Jude find cures and save children from around the world.

The “Hey St. Jude” video was produced by Tony Thomas, Hollywood producer and son of St. Jude founder Danny Thomas.
