An Evening of Fashion, Awareness and Awards at the 1st Annual Diamond on the Half Shell Benefit

On Thursday, October 24th, Atlanta City Hall Atrium was transformed into a chic fashion show to support the ongoing fight against sex trafficking. Mona Stephen (CEO of Not Yours! & Co-founder of the I Am Not Yours campaign) and Jasmine Guy (Spokesperson) of the ‘I Am Not Yours!’ campaign joined forces with Vanessa Gales, President of the Restorative Justice Center, in an effort to not only raise awareness of this crime that’s prominent in the metro Atlanta area, but to also raise funds for it’s victims with the first annual ‘Diamond on the Half Shell’ benefit.

Sponsored by Gentleman Jack, Westin Peachtree Plaza, EmStar Research and Exo Systems Technologies, guests walked the red carpet with red carpet host, Stacii Jae, mingled with City Hall officials, board members from both organizations and were treated to delicious hors’ devours and cocktails provided from the Perfect Bartender company.

The fabulous Ken Bailey Hair Studio provided the models with fun and flirty hair styles that complimented the sophisticated Belasse Collection that was viewed that evening. Many women were recognized with awards for their contributions on ending sex trafficking and restoring the victims lives, with a special ‘Diamond on the Half Shell’ Award presented by The Restorative Justice Center and Not Yours, LLC to close the evening.
Notable attendees included: Atlanta City Council President Ceaser C. Mitchell, Honorable Judge Sloan, Councilman Kwanza Hall, Roger Bobb of Bobb Cat Films, and recording artist Leigh Bush, formerly Sammie.
