Event: Capital Cause Presents: The Young Philanthropists Industry Brunch!

WHAT IS THE CAPITAL CAUSE BRUNCH?
The 2012 Capital Cause Young Philanthropists Brunch will unite a diverse group of young professionals and seasoned industry leaders who are ambitious and motivated about bringing change to their communities. Attendees will choose their industry tables and network with leaders in specific career fields with the intention of increasing their social capital and increasing their community impact.

SPECIAL GUESTS from FOLLOWING INDUSTRIES WILL ATTEND:
The White House, Google, Teach for America, Washington Post, Politics 365, DC Department of Small & Local Business Development, Corcoran Art Gallery, Booz Allen Hamilton, US Department of Health & Human Services, Democratic National Committee, Department of Justice, The Edelman Group, Ashoka, The Foundation Center, Macys (and more…)

BENEFITING NONPROFITS:
Proceeds will benefit a nonprofit doing work to end poverty, stop homelessness and fight hunger in DC. Capital Causes will select nonprofits doing work in the aforementioned areas and attendees will vote to decide which nonprofit gets a donation of their money (capital) or time (cause).

Mission: To engage young professionals in the giving process, by connecting them with opportunities to donate their time and money to a deserving cause.

So What is The Young Philanthropist Program? The Capital Cause membership program that was designed to involve members in the collectively giving back to local nonprofits. Members pay $30 and donate five hours of public service time. All donations are combined, and members vote on how contributions are spent.
