Jay-Z to Headline Made In America Music Festival in Philadelphia Benefiting United Way!

Jay-Z announced today that he will headline and curate the upcoming Budweiser Made In America festival to be held during Labor Day Weekend, September 1 and 2 in Philadelphia, PA. The festival will be sponsored by Budweiser, the music-driven fest will feature “rock, hip-hop, R&B, Latin and dance” artists” plus the Jigga Man himself both nights.

Jay-Z was joined on stage by Philadelphia Mayor Michael Nutter and Philadeplhia native and former Rocafella artist Freeway. The announcement was made atop the famous Rocky steps of the Philadelphia Museum.

“Everybody knows my love affair with Philly from the great artists I’ve signed from here,” Jay-Z told the crowd. “Whenever I enter into a project I try to hit some touch points. Is it great? Is it going to push the culture forward?”

Tickets go on sale on May 23 via Ticketmaster and Live Nation. A few 2-day passes will be available for $99 and Budweiser Facebook fans will have access to pre-sale tickets beginning Tuesday, May 22. Some ticket proceeds will go to United Way of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey.
