Joshua’s Wish to host 3rd Annual Wish Walk September 22nd!

Join the Joshua’s Wish at our 3rd annual Joshua’s Wish Walk on September 22, 2012 at Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law.  Registration begins at 7:30 am, the walk/run starts at 9 am.  There is plenty of fun for the whole family from a Zumba warm up at 8 am, to the Mike Fuller Magic Show at 10:30 am.  Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 am and at 10:15 there will be an awards ceremony for the top fundraising teams and schools.  Ingleside Village Pizza will provide a team dinner for the winning team.  Macon Amstar will provide IMAX passes to the 2nd highest fundraising team, and the individual on a team who raises the most money will receive a gift basket which will include a restaurant gift certificate.  Dinner and IMAX pases will be awarded to the top 10 fundraisers on the winning teams. This noncompetitive walk/run is only one of 2 major fundraisers that Joshua’s Wish hosts; the other being Joshua’s Birthday Bash in February.  Money raised will help find a cure for one of the deadliest of pediatric cancers…brain cancer.  Registration is only $20 and includes a commemorative t-shirt.  If you can’t make it to the walk, consider being a phantom runner for only $5 more and a shirt will be mailed to you.  You can register as a team or as an individual.  Please visit joshuaswish.org and click on the register button or click on here.  Come out and let’s get walking to raise money to help find a cure for pediatric brain cancer.

Volunteer Coordinator Needed
Joshua’s Wish is currently seeking a volunteer to be their volunteer coordinator. The volunteer coordinator will help recruit volunteers and obtain and organize volunteers at events.  You will receive help and guidance as you learn and work with us.  Don’t be afraid to volunteer.  If interested in this rewarding opportunity to give back to the pediatric brain tumor community, here’s your chance.  Please contact Labrina Solomon, Joshua’s Mom, at joshuaswish@yahoo.com or 478-361-3541.
