Kobe Bryant and Jimmy Kimmel Team Up to Eliminate Homelessness in LA!

Sports Spectacular, an organization that partners with top athletes & world class health professionals to improve lives through research, prevention, and education, announced today an incredible one-night-only event, Kobe Up Close hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live on Thursday, August 15th. The evening will give fans an exclusive opportunity to witness an entertaining one-on-one conversation with the Los Angeles Lakers’ five-time Champion about his past, present, and future in the NBA while also sharing some of his favorite stories with the Emmy Award-Winning Late Night Host.

Tickets for Kobe Up Close hosted by Jimmy Kimmel are on sale now and available at http://www.axs.com/events/242582. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation in partnership with Cedars-Sinai Medical Center’s Sports Spectacular to support their work toward eliminating homelessness and help under-served Los Angeles communities. Through varied and widespread community outreach programs which travel to under-privileged communities and homeless shelters and offer free services to make sure kids are up-to-date on shots, vaccinations and general healthcare, we are making a difference.

“I’m excited to sit down with Jimmy and talk about what my fans have been wanting to hear and raise money to help eliminate homelessness in LA,” said Kobe Bryant.

“We are excited to partner with the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation to raise funds for under-served communities throughout the Los Angeles area, to make sure they are up-to-date on shots, vaccinations and general healthcare”, said Sports Spectacular Executive Director, Beth Moskowitz.
