MMG )Make, Money, Give? I’m just saying maybe they can adopt a new alias, because this is a crew that truly gives back. Most recently out of the MMG family to give to ca cause is none other than Philadelphia’s own Meek Mill.
As stated by Karen Civil “Despite his gangster persona that comes to life in his music, Meek Mill has always been an active member in the community by doing several charitable things.” It’s so true and this is why I love when our celebrities use their shine to light the life of others, because everyone can do something.
Last week, a young woman named Gillian Chrisphonte, who’s battling Lymphoma, started a fundraiser on GoFundMe.com to help with the cost of her medical bills. After being diagnosed in November 2013 and going through rounds of chemotherapy, she says she and her parents have been having a tough time keeping up with the treatment costs.
After learning about Gillian’s fight with the serious form of cancer, Meek Mill and the Robin Hood Project, donated an undisclosed amount of money to her fundraiser, helping her exceed her goal original goal of $12,000, while spreading the word by posting it on his Instagram, where he commented, “I went 2 the link & I Didn’t even have 2 it’s enough good people out here #godblessher #fuckcancer her dream is way more worth than our money!”
