Annual Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club Event Kicked Off on Nov. 18; Atlanta Community Food Bank to Receive $75,000 Grant as part of $1 Million Sam’s Club Donation to Feeding America!
Mrs. Monica Brown has joined forces with Sam’s Club and Feed the Children to raise awareness of child hunger in the US. A mother of two herself, Monica takes child hunger to heart and has been an avid supporter of the cause since early 2011. The event which took place over the weekend was titled “A taste for you. Millions of meals for children in need.” During the ninth annual Holiday Taste of Sam’s Club event, Sam’s Club invited Members and guests to get in the holiday spirit by sampling a variety of gourmet holiday foods at Clubs nationwide. As a special part of this year’s event, Sam’s Club helped raise awareness about the issue of hunger in the U.S. and donated $1 million to support child hunger programs through Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity. As part of the donation, Atlanta Community Food Bank will receive a grant of $75,000.
