Rajon Rondo to host Charity Basketball Game to Provide Holiday Meals for the Needy!

Celtics guard Rajon Rondo has announced the “Boston Charity Classic” all-star game to take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, November 19th, 2011 at Lavietes Pavilion on Harvard’s campus.

It’s Boston’s first of the series of all-star and charity games held across the country since the lockout began and it is expected to feature its share of heavy hitters, including Celtics forward Paul Pierce and scoring champion Kevin Durant.Rondo is set to host the “Boston Charity Classic” at Harvard on Saturday, November 19, with proceeds of the event benefiting local charities. Also set to play are former Celtics Kendrick Perkins, Marquis Daniels and Leon Powe, Josh Smith, Rudy Gay, Kevin Durant, Jeremy Lin and Kyle Lowrie.

Tickets for the 6 pm game can be purchased at the Harvard Athletics Box Office in person or by phone at (617) 495-2211 between 9 am and 5 pm. General admission seats are $50 with court-side seats $100.

Proceeds from the game will go to providing holiday meals and support families in the Boston area.
