R&B Diva & Original Destiny’s Child Member LaTavia Roberson, Joins Saving Our Daughters!

Saving Our Daughters LataviaNew R& B Divas Atlanta star LaTavia Roberson is all about giving back to moms with new campaign in partnership with Saving Our Daughters (SOD). In 2012 SOD created Yell Confidence! which supported the” Saving Our Daughters” mission by working directly with celebrity women who had experienced levels of domestic violence and date abuse.

Celebrities supporting the effort included Kelly Rowland, Nene Leakes, Keke Wyatt and more. They each shared their own personal experience with abuse with young girls across the country by developing YELL public service announcements that were directed by celebrity photographer & board lead chair, Derek Blanks.

The newest campaign came from a familiar place for us all, social media where back in March, a mother approached Saving Our `Daughters on posting a very inspiring photo of her & her daughter who is going thru a life threating illness.

“No one knows how much I really love this little girl!! Words can’t even explain!!! My child suffers from sickle cell anemia I would do anything to trade places with her!! She’s a strong fighter!!” the mother wrote.

After the post went viral, thousands of moms sent in photos with their daughters who were also inspirational to them.

This overwhelming response lead Saving Our Daughters, to create a special campaign for moms called Yell Mom & Daughters. Leading the cause is new R&B Diva and original Destiny’s Child member ,LaTavia Roberson who is a new mom of a beautiful daughter.  As the lead  ambassador LaTavia will show her support for the new Yell Mom & Daughter campaign across the country.

La’Tavia will also conduct a national PSA for the campaign, directed by Derek Blanks to help encourage mom & daughter relationships. As an added effort, she will also work with young mothers from Covenant House mother & child programs  across the country, who are battling homelessness & sexual abuse from in partnership with Saving Our Daughters. This sounds like a great campaign, be sure to follow the campaign by liking Saving Our Daughters on Facebook and following them on Twitter!
