Celebrities and Thousands of Runners Join Susan G. Komen’s 15th Annual LA County Race for the Cure® at Dodger Stadium on Sunday, March 6, 2011
The 15th Annual Susan G. Komen LA County Race for the Cure® raised a reported $1.5 million. The funds will be used to provide both the medically underserved and uninsured populations in Los Angeles County with screening, diagnostic tests and treatments for breast cancer.
This flagship fundraising event celebrated breast cancer survivorship and honor those who have lost their battle with the disease. The Los Angeles County Affiliate (www.komenlacounty.org) is the only breast cancer organization where 75% of funds raised stays in the local community, going directly to local services and resources for Los Angeles County residents through community grants.
