Their cause of choice a worthy one indeed giving back by mentoring. The Steve Harvey National Mentoring Camp will be held this summer in Dallas,TX June 11-16. The young men will be joined by Harvey and introduced to positive male role models who are leaders in various areas, including business, their communities, entertainment and the military. In the past of included Terrence J and Cedric the Entertainer were among the few to conduct a series of seminars on the principles of manhood, leadership, and community empowerment.
The mission of The Steve Harvey Mentoring Program for Young Men is to share, teach and demonstrate the principles of manhood to young men, enabling them to achieve their dreams and become men who are strong, responsible and productive. The goal of the Mentoring Weekend is to break the misguided traits of manhood and introduce role models who provide positive examples of manhood.

I work for the DPSS.Coundy Derpartment , for three years for the summer youth program . My goals is get my high school diploma , going to collage get my Master Degres to become a C.S.I Crime Investagator. Hi Steve, I am not that great with computers so I did not fill out the Your WEBSITE URL because I do not know what that mean I hope that is not a deal breaker. I have a nephew that lives OK he is 17 and in the 11th grade, he lives with his father sister she raised him from age 2. His mother which is my deceased sister died of breast cancer and he do not remeber his mother and his father is not present in his life! From a small child he has had issues and now that he is at this age he does not obey his teachers and respect the rules of the house, I am so afraid he is going to end up in the system, he tries to use the excuse about not knowing his mother which I do know that can be hard on him and not having his father present in him life, when his dad do come around he do obey him but his dad for some reason has started another family and do not come to see his children, Steve there are a lot of times I wish my sister was still living, maybe her baby son would be different, he do have a brother and sister and they try to talk to him but he is not listening. Do not get me wrong his aunt has been good to them and tried to do her best, I do thank God for her, I know my sister would be forever grateful for what you and others can do to help him. When you said that God saved your soul and your wife saved your life that touched my heart! I watched you on TBN every tear you cried I cried with you! Are there any mentoring camps for teen boys for 2014. Maybe summer.
This camp should start the age earlier. 10 years old is a good start. Please look into it. I take every opportunity to expose my son to positive male role models. He is a good child but need a man’s guidance.

I know that you canot accept all of the deserving young people into your mentoring program but can you recommend others in other areas of the country that you may know of.
Although my children are now adults and do not need this service, there are so many young people who do and I truly admire you and your wife (and others who do this work) for your time and efforts.
Hi Steve, I will love to have an application for your boot camp program. My 13 year old grandshon has been having problems since Kindergarten. I have been trying everything I know how, to keep him from being a statistic. I have been begging and pleading for a mentor that he will listen too. He’s only around mostly girls in the family. Hi Steve I gave been looking for a mentor for my sin who is 12 for a long time now u had to hospitalize my son for month because his behevie was so out of control. His father and I are not longer together my sin has 4 sisters and 1other bother my Son david is the oldest Boy since 2013 we have been living in a shelter My son is taking It hard and he has been having fir a while he is a good kid iam just trying ti keep him alive And out of jail.
