Ways To Give: Sweet Serenity, Inc. of Georgia is Seeking Volunteers!

Looking for Ways to Give Back? Sweet Serenity SSI, Inc. is dedicated to fighting hunger and poverty with Georgia communities. Distributing hot nutritious meals to Homeless. Elderly and Children. Assisting the homeless community with sustainability resources and mainstream services in order to migrate back into society.

It is our mission to improve the quality of life for all sectors of society in the Georgia. In addition to food and shelter we provide emergency aid and referral service for medical, educational, and social services to people in need as well as provide opportunities for career building and training.

Volunteers will have the opportunity to express their talents and ideas as well as giving back to the community. We are looking for volunteers for following:

1. Fundraising

2. Event Planning and Development

3. Cooking and/or severing meals to the homeless

4. Administrative Support

5. Marketing – PR Assistant

6. Web Development (Newsletter, Media, Website/Tech)

7. Volunteer Coordinator – (Lead position)

8. Outreach Development

Goal:
Sweet Serenity Inc. has a goal is to help people survive, learn and eventually contribute to society. To do so requires – Building a strong and active Board of Directors. Secure necessary funds to provide the community with year round services for food services/soup kitchen services, a shelter. In addition to serving meals Sweet Serenity SSI will offer: Homeless prevention assistance, referrals to and for services. Supportive Service, which are major Mainstream Benefit Programs, to those who qualify – Food Stamps, Medicaid, Medicare, One-Stop Career Center System, Social Security, Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI),State Children’s Health Insurance Programs (SCHIP). To continue to engage in community outreach, provide a positive welcoming atmosphere, and offer strong support system for Sweet Serenity’s operations while remaining in compliance with all issues pertaining to not-for-profit operations. To build the necessary infrastructure to operate an independent homeless shelter/facility where we are capable of assessing needs of homeless individuals and connecting them with necessary services based on their requirement (i.e. mental health, substance abuse and economical).
