Charity Spotlight: NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program

The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program

Mission:
The NEXT Steps Youth Entrepreneur Program manages Atwood Community Gardens – a 3.5 acre outdoor S.T.E.M-based urban agriculture training center. NEXT Steps uses the transferable skills within the urban agriculture industry to introduce at risk students to career pathways in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (S.T.E.M.). Our training programs teach them how to write business plans, coordinate special events, conduct investigative research and discovery activities, engage in community service and learn how to impact their quality of life through environmental stewardship. Atwood Community Gardens is located at 779 Atwood Street SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 – in the heart of West End Atlanta (near the Atlanta University Center, Morehouse & Spelman Colleges).
