Charity Spotlight: The Ludacris Foundation

There are many opportunities during the year where The Ludacris Foundation reaches out to underserved youth and communities in order to show that we care. Whether it’s during the holidays or for a special hospital visit, we have expanded our reach to ensure the underserved are not forgotten.  Our LudaCares program was launched in the Atlanta neighborhoods of the Bankhead Community, Herndon and Hollywood Homes, and has since expanded to include Chicago, Miami and New York City.
Some of our LudaCares experiences:

  • LudaDay Weekend – an annual celebration Labor Day weekend where the accomplishments of Ludacris are recognized and community events with The Ludacris Foundation are held with celebrities as special guests.
  • Hunger is a national problem, but one that can be addressed locally. For the past 10 years The Ludacris Foundation has fed families in Atlanta, Georgia at Thanksgiving through our LudaCares program. This year Chris “Ludacris” Bridges has joined with Feeding America. We are excited to combine our efforts with Feeding America to expand our operation and help reduce hunger nationwide.  Feeding America and member food banks feed 37 million people each year, including 14 millions children and 3 million seniors.
  • LudaCrismas – an annual holiday party to share the spirit of Christmas to over 1,000 children in need.  The LudacCrismas spirit has touched the lives of youth from  New York, DC, Atlanta, Miami, and Los Angeles. At this holiday celebration, children receive toys from Santa, attend craft workshops, and have a healthy lunch.
  • Military performances and hospital visits– special performances for service men around the world to show appreciation.
  • Make-A-Wish™ Foundation – this partnership allows us to work with the Make-A-Wish™ Foundation to make wishes come true for youth.

At the heart of Ludacris’ values is his commitment to give back. Atlanta-based and impacting globally, The Ludacris Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization that serves as Ludacris’ vision to help youth help themselves. We value authenticity and have a passion for what we do and the people who we serve. Our programs are rooted in the principals that Chris “ Ludacris” Bridges learned as a youth and practices today: spirituality, communication, education, leadership, goal setting, physical activity and community service. Ludacris and The Ludacris Foundation is a  hands-on organization.  We take our programs to the streets, neighborhoods and communities.
The Ludacris Foundation inspires youth through education and memorable experiences to live their dreams.  The goals of our programs are to uplift families, communities and foster economic development. The Ludacris Foundation three key focus areas are: LudaCares, Leadership & Education and Lifestyles. Our efforts reach youth at all age levels.
Founded in 2001 by multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY® award winning artist and actor, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, TLF has achieved notable success. TLF has been named as one of the top twenty “Leading Philanthropy Foundations” by Black Enterprise magazine and featured in The Robb Report’s Worth magazine as well as The Chronicles of Philanthropy – a Newspaper of the Non-Profit World for outstanding efforts provided to urban communities.
