Freeway Ricky Ross to Tackle Illiteracy, STDs and Obesity in Indianapolis, Indiana!

The Freeway Ricky Ross Kouncil, Give Me 5 Reading Foundation 501(C)(3), Marion County Department of Health and“THE REAL”are on a mission in Indianapolis, Indiana to educate and enlighten urban youth with powerful Mind, Body &Soul forums. Following the forums the organizations will come together for a talent showcase, the “On the Real” talent competition will help fund local performing arts programs and increase HIV Awareness in Marion County.

“Our combined efforts are meant to educate and help stop the high rate of Illiteracy, STDs and Obesity in Marion County by increasing awareness and driving home the importance of Exercise, Safe Sex and knowledge though: reading,while highlighting area talent in a safe, fun environment,”says Denise China Mial, On The Real Talent Competition Founder,Comedian,The Kouncil GM &Event Coordinator.

Area youth and their parents are invited to come out to B.A.S.E. Life Skills & Mentoring Program located at 4548 North College Ave.,Indianapolis,Indiana on Friday, July 29, 2011 from10a-2p,for fun, interactive,forums,which will be moderated by the areas top health & wellness professionals. Participation is Free.

The Give Me 5 Reading Foundation will be on-site to encourage and challenge youth to spend at least 5 minutes a day reading. Mr. Rick Ross himself and Indy Hustlaz’s Anthony Simpson will conduct forums addressing health & wellness. Free HIV testing will be provided on-site by Marion County Department of Health along with area community centers.There will be a $100 raffle for all who take an HIV/AIDS test.
