You have to love John Wall not only is he one of the best point guards in the NBA, but his desire to make an impact in the community know no bounds. He stole our hearts last year when he helped Miyah Nelson who was battling Burkitt’s lymphoma, meet her idol @nickiminaj. Sadly Miyah lost her fight, but not before he helped make one of her dreams come true. He vowed to give back to the city of DC after he signed his contract extension and he continues to keep his promise. On Friday, The Washington Wizards guard’s giving continued, when Bright Beginnings, a child development center in Washington D.C., revealed a $400,000 donation from Wall, to help ongoing efforts to fight homelessness.

Bright Beginnings provides daily care for more than 150 homeless children in the nation’s capital, and thanks to Wizards guard John Wall, the organization will be able to help 100 additional children who will learn in a classroom named after Wall. Bright Beginnings hopes to open a new child care center in 2017, and has raised more than $5.8 million for the project. Way to pay it forward John Wall your giving inspires us all!
