Steve Harvey and Essence Magazine Host Disney Dreamers Academy for 100 Students in Orlando!

2015 Disney Dreamers AcademyI am always in awe of the depth of giving that Steve Harvey has committed his life to; from he and his wife Marjorie’s Mentoring Camps to the Disney Dreamers academy  – the giving never seems to end and I love it! Over the weekend 100 outstanding high school students from around the country to engaged in the Disney Dreamers Academy with media mogul Steve Harvey and Essence magazine.  Checking in on Thursday March 5 the dreamers spent the weekend dreaming big while attending inspirational presentations and completing hands-on workshops in career fields from animation to zoology.

A bevy of celebrities were on hand to greet and encourage the Disney Dreamers including: Bishop TD Jakes,  E! News host Terrence J, gospel singer Yolanda Adams , Actor Lamman Rucker, Producer and Director Will Packer, NFL Super Bowl Champion and talk show host Michael Strahan, TV host Rocsi Diaz and more. Themes for the weekend included: “Dreams, Passions, Possibilities” where along with long with hearing inspirational speeches, Dreamers attended hands-on workshops in various career fields around Walt Disney World. Another theme “A Whole New World” allowed Dreamers to  learn  how to present themselves and making a good impression.

Dreamers no doubt enjoyed a weekend of life changing moments we’re sure they will never forget! The Disney Dreamers Academy, sponsored by Walt Disney World, is a highly selective program. Students are chosen from a pool of nearly 10,000 applicants every year. If you have an outstanding  high school student stay tuned for application details for the 2016 Disney Dreamers Academy.
